Philadelphia's Mettler's American Mercantile is a unique retail concept with a smartly edited selection of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. Housed in a fully restored 18th century church, the store is committed to offering products that are made exclusively in the USA, including Jack + Mulligan beginning Summer 2014. 

The store boasts a well curated selection of brands that manufacture in the U.S. along with an impressive private label collection for men. Their in-house menswear collection has everything a man needs from shirting to sportswear and accessories (The wool varsity jackets and Gitman manufactured oxford shirts are our personal favorites). The private label goods are mostly classic American pieces with a decidedly North East preppy twist. 

With an interior that is reminiscent of the Rhinehandler Mansion on Madison Avenue (home to the Ralph Lauren flagship) and the goods being merchandised on, in, and around the incredible vintage furniture, being inside of the store feels like you’ve stepped into a beautiful estate that happens to stock great products. In addition to their apparel and accessories offerings, the unique furniture and art found throughout the store, such as the black and white Easy Rider photo triptych and vintage trunk that opens to reveal a fully stocked bar inside, are for sale as well.
